4lbs GONE on 17 Day Diet!!!
I went to WW this morning and have officially completed 3 days of the 17 Day Diet. Today is day 4 and only 13 more to go until I'm in the next phase. I lost 4 pounds!!!! Hooray, it was an amazing weigh in! I also don't have much of an appetite today. I have been eating and getting full right away! This is all so new for me! I am so excited and motivated to stay on track. We are headed to Disney at the end of May and it would be amazing to be down 40 pounds by then. I know it's wishful thinking and not safe to lose weight that fast and I know better and the 17 Day Diet doesn't promise anything like that but I have 8 weeks before we leave, if I can lose 2 pounds a week that's 16 more pounds which will be a total of 35!! It's possible and completely doable! Yeah!

17 Day Diet
Today I started the 17 day diet. I haven't abandoned WW, I'm just looking for a way to speed up the weight loss and get me past my plateau. The day started out fairly easy and wasn't much different from what I normally eat on a regular WW day. It wasn't until around 1:30 this afternoon I started feeling REALLY bad. I got a really bad headache, I was tired, and I even felt nauseous. After talking to a few co-workers (one of them is doing the Dukan Diet and the other the 17 Day diet) and they explained to me I was experiencing the "detox" part of the diet. I even talked to our school nurse and she told me I was probably experiencing a sugar withdrawal because apparently sugar addiction is real and I suffer from it! So, after eating low carb, low sugar meals all day I don't feel that bad. I started feeling better around 5, had dinner and then went for my 17 minute walk. So far so good, the books states that if I follow the plan for the first 17 days I should be able to lose 10-12lbs...fingers crossed!

Fruit and Cottage Cheese
So I tried those pre-made fruit and cottage cheese snacks in the yogurt aisle. I think they were about 4 points and loaded with sugar and really not that satisfying. But I really love fruit and cottage cheese so I decided to make my own pre-made snacks that I could grab in the morning and throw in my bag for a mid morning snack. I picked up some 2% cottage cheese, the Great Value brand from Wal-Mart, as well as some no sugar added fruit cups. I opted for peaches and pineapple because those are my faves for cottage cheese. I checked the points on the cottage cheese before I bought it and it's 2 points for 1/2 cup. I honestly could eat more than half a cup but that's why I weigh what I weigh! With the new PP in WW all fruit is 0 points. Even fruit cups as long as it's in its own juices and you drain the juice before you eat it. Once I added the fruit to the 1/2c serving it actually looks like more than what it really is. I am excited to have a 2pt snack that looks fresher and yummier than the ones in the yogurt aisle!

Weekly Weigh In
So today I went to WW to weigh in. There was an upside and a downside to my weigh in this morning. I gained weight last week so I was really hoping to lose this week but I really wanted to make sure I didn't gain 2 weeks in a row. It has happened and it's the worst feeling in the world! So...short story long lol, I didn't gain weight but I also didn't lose. I'm going to try and stay positive about the whole thing and actually attempt to stay on plan this week. I have the hardest time writing down what I eat and even though I know in order to get the results I want I need to track it just never seems to happen! Arrhhhh!

Here I go again...
I have been on eternal weight loss yo-yo for the last 11 years. I was a healthy size 7 and 132 pounds when I got pregnant with my first child. Needless to say I have not seen the 130's or the single digit size pants since 1999. I just weighed in on Saturday and gained a pound taking my 16lb weight loss back down to 15. I am thankful I have lost 15lbs but still have so far to go!
